Edit config files with Geany

Yesterday I was setting up a Linux-based security-cam server and realized how much more simple is to edit config files using Geany (rather than nano -- which I also use very often--, gedit or other regular text editor) because it put colors on the active strings and leave all the rest on a light gray. Love it.

I think I firs came across Geany inside PuppyLinux.

I'm sure there are others text editors that might do it.  And I'm also sure this highlighting is just one nice feature among many others Geany certainly has.  But isn't nice when one finds out?

It's available for Linux via repositories but also for Windows: direct download here.
